    1. Simple Sentences. I looked up to the sky. It was a clear day. I saw a bird. Maybe it was a plane. I was wrong. I saw superman!

    8. Look at your writing and revise. Do you have many simple sentences one after the other: I looked up to the sky. It was a clear day. I saw a bird. If so, try combining some using a fanboy and a comma or a semicolon: I looked up to the sky, and it was a clear day. Have you written a series of simple sentences (independent clauses) together with only a period at the end of the series? If so, separate some of them with periods and combine others into compound sentences. I looked to the sky ; it was a clear day. I saw a bird, or maybe it was a plane, but I was wrong. It was superman!
