  1. Habit Two Begin with the End in Mind

  2. Read a recipe before we bake a cake • Look at the picture before assembling the puzzle • Draw blueprints before building a house • Plan a trip before buying plane tickets We do it all the time . . .

  3. Do you want to go to college? What relationships do you want with your family? Will you drink, smoke or do drugs? What will your attitude toward life be? Will you join a gang? What will you stand for? What type of friends do you want have? But what about your LIFE?

  4. So often, in our quest to be more popular and to be part of the “in-group,” we lose sight of things that are far more important . . . What is important to you?

  5. What do you want people to say about you on your 80th birthday? Watch this video about Frank’s 80th birthday party.

  6. Mental or first creation • Ex: blueprint for a house • Ex: creation of a business plan • Ex: plan on how to raise children Physical or second creation • Ex: building the house • Ex: opening the business • Ex: raising the children Most endeavors that fail, fail with the first creation. All things are created twice.

  7. By Design By Default we empower other people and circumstances outside our Circle of Influence to shape much of our lives by default. we develop our own self-awareness and become responsible for our first creations by design. Do you want to live by design or default?

  8. Even the smallest change in direction can make a huge difference in the destination. Imagine that you want to fly from New York to Tel Aviv. If you alter your direction just one degree north, you would end up in Moscow instead. What small change could you make in the direction of your life that would make a difference in your destination? Habit 2 Challenge

  9. Have confidence in yourself and everyone else around you. • Be kind, courteous, and respectful to all people. • Set reachable goals. • Never lose sight of these goals. • Never take the simple things in life for granted. • Appreciate other people’s differences and see their differences as a great advantage. • Ask questions. • Strive each day to reach interdependence. • Remember that before you can change someone else, you must first change yourself. • Speak with your actions, not with your words. • Make the time to help those less fortunate than yourself or those who are having a bad day. • Read the 7 habits everyday. Sample Mission Statement

  10. Care: about the world, about life, about people, about myself Love: myself, my family, my world, knowledge, learning, LIFE Fight: for my beliefs, for my passions, to accomplish, to do good, to be true to myself, against apathy Rock: the boat but don’t let the boat rock me, BE A ROCK Be Remembered.
