  1. Ice Demon Ice Demons seem built to weaken things. Put a little ice inside the hardest rock, and disaster happens. Ice Demons use Encumber to slow down tougher opponents, but the most dangerous attack that Ice Demons use is Sacrifice, which does more damage than the Ice Demon has Energy Points, but injures the Ice Demon as well. Ice Demons have been used since the early days of DFDD to slow down powerful opponents. Ice Demons are one of the few Demons that don’t stand upright. Although they look solid, Ice Demons have liquid water flowing through their insides. Since Ice Demons are mostly transparent, it is easy to see where the water flows, but it’s harder to figure out what the flowing water is for. Ice Demon 2 reflex 2 hands 35 EP Physical Attacks Encumber: Deals 10 damage, and flip a coin. If heads, the target is Tired. Sacrifice: Deals 40 damage.   2. Essential and Ancient Ice Demons When an Ice Demon upgrades, it gets much larger. Essential Ice Demons have a distinctively dinosaur-ish look, and they are much stronger than Standard Ice Demons, but they are quite fragile compared with other Essential Demons. Ancient Ice Demons are also much more fragile than most Ancients, but are capable of three times the destruction that an Essential Ice Demon can cause thanks to their scorpion-like tail. To make up for their lack of EP, both Essential and Ancient Ice Demons have ways of healing themselves, and Ancient Ice Demons can Perfect Stun as well. Ancient Ice Demon Essential Ice Demon 10 reflex 4 hands 150 EP Physical Attacks Freezing Injection: Deals 75 damage. Deals 20 damage to the Ancient Ice Demon. Cold Snap: Deals 10 damage, and flip a coin. If heads, the target is Perfect Stunned. If tails, heals the Ancient Ice Demon for 10 EP. 5 reflex 2 hands 75 EP Physical Attacks Shatter Bolt: Deals 50 damage. Deals 10 damage to the Essential Ice Demon.   3. Elder Ice Demon While most Ice Demons walk with all their limbs pointed down, the Elder Ice Demon keeps a more upright posture so that its wings can serve their purpose. The feet of an Elder Ice Demon also change to help support its body, while its tail thickens to serve as a balance. Elder Ice Demons specialize in destruction even more than their earlier forms. An Elder Ice Demon doesn’t have any healing powers, but a strike from its tail can take down even the strongest Essential Demons in a single attack. On top of all this, Elder Ice Demons can fire waves of ice from their chest that can freeze anything solid. The early forms of an Ice Demon all bear a resemblance to some sort of earth animal, but the Elder Ice Demon looks completely different. The reasons for this, if any, are unknown. Elder Ice Demon 22 reflex 4 hands 310 EP Physical Attacks Hypothermic Blade: Deals 150 damage. Deals 30 damage to the Elder Ice Demon. This attack can’t target its user. Haze Heal: Heals the user for 15 EP. Special Attack: Ice Demon Flash Freeze: The target is Stunned. Second Coating: Restores 10 of the Ice Demon’s EP, and prevents the next 10 damage done to the Ice Demon. Frozen Vapor Liquification 1 hand 1 hand 0 hands 1 hand 2 reflex 2 reflex 1 reflex 1 reflex Ordinarily the liquid water flowing through the inside of an Ice Demon doesn’t help with attacks very much, but with Liquification, an Ice Demon can “sweat” the water onto its skin or shoot it out of its hands. Flash Freeze is convenient because an Ice Demon can still use it while holding a weapon, and Second Coating can not only heal the damage an Ice Demon takes from using Sacrifice, but also help protect it against other attacks. While Ice Demons ordinarily use their own water for their attacks, Frozen Vapor lets them use the water in the air to either patch themselves up with Haze Heal or quickly grow patches of ice that serve as both attack and defense at once.
