  26. Lab Split Screen

  27. Quick References • Add images to your Privacy Tab or Create a Reference Tab • Reference for entering additional measurements • EHR/RPMS Contact Information • Updates and Recent Changes Tab

  28. Saving Changes • Save Settings will make a personal template • Save as Template makes a system template • If you attempt to overwrite an existing template, the program will query you first

  29. Save As Template creates a template available for everyone Save Settings saves an individual template for you only

  30. Creating New Templates • When significantly modifying an existing template, it is strongly suggested you save the changes to a new name and keep the old template • When the new template is “perfect” you can then assign it to the target users. • The old template can remain as a reference in case you need to revert to it or to see how it was configured

  31. Exiting • Don’t forget to go back and turn off Design Mode before attempting to view any patient data

  32. Assigning Different Templates to Different Users • Parameter ->CIAVM DEFAULT TEMPLATE CIAVM DEFAULT TEMPLATE may be set for the following: 100 User USR [choose from NEW PERSON] 200 Class CLS [choose from USR CLASS] 300 Service SRV [choose from SERVICE/SECTION] 400 Location LOC [choose from HOSPITAL LOCATION] 500 Division DIV [choose from INSTITUTION] 900 Package PKG [VUECENTRIC FRAMEWORK]

  33. Template Considerations • While multiple VueCentric Templates can be customized to “special” users, keep in mind that more Templates means more maintenance when updates and patches occur • Recommended you keep the number of VueCentric templates as low as possible while still meeting the needs of your Users

  34. Importing EHR GUI Templates • GUI templates can be imported/exported to different sites just like note templates • Must have access to vcManager to import/export (and requires the CIAV SITE MANAGER key) • Once exported into a file you can easily email the template to other facilities

  35. Importing EHR GUI Templates • Some VueCentric GUI templates are available for download from the IHS FTP site: ftp://ftp.ihs.gov/pubs/EHR/Templates/EHR%20GUI%20Component/
