Partnership a relationship between two people, organizations or countries that work together regularly (Longman Dictionary p. 1032) • Emphasis on role played by each partner • Shared responsibility for joint venture • Begins with involvement, then participation and ultimately partnership Definition of Terms

  5. Community There are many definitions given to the term community. (Jumuia) • In this case, we are talking about the groups of people in our immediate school membership circle. Definition (cont.)

  6. Think and Share Who are the various stakeholders involved in our schools?

Parents/ Parent Teacher Association Sponsors e.g. church and other religious groups Ministry of Education and other ministries such as Public Health, Local Government Board of Governors Non Governmental Organizations Local community Donors Alumni Companies Examples of stakeholders may include the following:
