Spelling Rules for He/ She / It: 1. Usually add “s” to the verb. play – plays like- likes
2. If the verb ends with “y” after a consonant drop the “ y” and add “ies”. try- tries study- studies
3. If the verb ends with “o, ss, sh, ch, x, o” add “es” to it. mix- mixes brush -brushes
