  2. Abilene police officials have yet to determine the cause of a car accident which injured at least one person on Veterans Drive, Monday, May 27.

  3. According to initial reports, local troopers responded to Veterans Drive in reference to a call reporting a car accident. An initial investigation indicates that a vehicle traveling along the roadway suddenly went out of control causing it to overturn. An occupant in the said car suffered from non-life threatening injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a nearby hospital with an unknown condition.

  4. We are deeply saddened for the family and loved ones of the injured victim. Our prayers and thoughts are with them. We strongly believe that the Abilene Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
