  28. Criminal Background Checks • Required for all new employees • Also available for employees transferring between areas • Cost of background check paid from central funds in the HRS budget

  29. E-Verify • An employment eligibility verification system operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. • Federal and State mandate. • Implemented January 2010. • All employees must produce documents proving authorization to work in U.S. by the end of the third day of work.

  31. Immigration Compliance (ICS) • ICS provides administrative support services to departments/centers and foreign nationals as they relate to processes associated with sponsorship of exchange visitors, temporary workers and employment-based permanent residents.

  32. Records Retention • Records Retention – college access to official personnel files for their respective employees. Also provided departmental folder to allow administrators to add department specific forms to the electronic personnel files.
