RAG Status Red Key Issues (For Discussion) If IPstream First goes ahead, Industry are very concerned about IPstream migration (e.g. number of CBUK changes and impacts on their own systems and call centres) Many customers require out of hours grooming especially for business customers and ask that this is considered. Lack of commercial principles is a major issue for Industry as they try to make decisions on future suppliers and products. w-BBC Consultation will have to be extended to November to take commercial considerations into account. Broadband (inc LLU) Key Milestones September Achievements Working Group held on 5 September 31 attended from 16 Industry companies plus Ofcom, Openreach and BTW. 4 Broadband Condocs issues with closing dates from July 31st to September 4th. Openreach presented their response to Industry on the LLU Condoc and closed the Consultation at BB/LLU WG. Work now continues at the IMWG BB Experts Sub-Group. September/October Work plan Next meeting is 9 October when Datastream and IPstream will close consultation with BTW responding to Industry on the Condocs (closed for Industry responses on 4 September).   11. RAG Status: Green Key Issues Communications with all BTW and openreach customers, including the 300 smallest. Openreach are organising 4 events to achieve this. Voice Line Access needs more promotion within the CP customer base. An Openreach sponsored event is planned for BT Tower on 6 November. Need to agree Standards for SIP-I in NICC and ETSI. (Voice Line Access) Further work required in Network Structures and in BTW to support the network aspects of the VLA product. Line Access Key Milestones August/September Achievements Line Access Working Group met on 12 September 2006. 11 Industry attendees and 1 Ofcom plus 5 BTW and Openreach. Voice Line Access Condoc issued and response period closed on 31 July with 3 replies. VLA Bilaterals offered and one held with constructive feedback. September/October Work plan Initial consultation on VLA product has closed with only 3 replies. Promote the VLA product at a re-launch event on 6 November at BT Tower Set up experts sub-group to rewrite product description and customer proposition in advance of the 6 November Next meetings on 30 October and 27 November 2006. Industry have concerns that sub 2M leased line developments are being given insufficient priority and resource. Utility customers and other Infrastructure customers need info on alternative products before 2008 as they have long lead times. TILLAP and TILLBP starting to tie in with other products Point to Point Key Milestones August/September Achievements Working Group meeting held on 7 September, attended by 21 people, representing 8 CPs plus BTW and Openreach. Presentations (a) TILLAP/TILLBP (b) MSIL 5 WES Condocs issued with good responses from Industry. September/October Work Plan Next meeting 27 September 2006 Bilaterals continue with CPs and Utilities on Utility customer requirements in 21CN plus a presentation at ETUG on 2 October 2006. Schedule 125C – VoIP Originated Emergency Calls • With VoIP growing it’s important we think about Emergency Calls • BT would like to • process VoIP originated Emergency calls the same as PSTN ones • treat all Emergency calls to the same standard and quality • convey all Emergency calls onto the relevant Emergency centre • pass on correct, accurate address information to the Emergency Services

  24. Signalling Updates Change in Signalling Link Utilisation Policy. STP working in support of Next Generation Networks using C7 TDM interconnects to BT’s NGSs. (STP @ NGSs.)

Change in Signalling Link Utilisation Policy SIA Annex A section 5.2.13 updated to show a Signalling Link Set may be used to support:- up to 64 x 2 Mbit/s Interconnect Links where such Signalling Link Set is comprised of two Signalling Links. up to 128 x 2 Mbit/s Interconnect Links where such Signalling Link Set is comprised of four Signalling Links. up to 128 x 2 Mbit/s Interconnect Links where such Signalling Link Set is comprised of two Signalling Links and the average link set loading does not exceed 20%. CPs can request rearrangement from 4 to 2 Signalling Links via existing ACO process. TAMs will receive reports to show if average peak link set loading has exceeded 20%. CPs should refer to Interconnect Briefing 06040 issued. Change is with effect from 18th September 2006.

  26. STP at NGSs (1) CPs requested to interconnect their NGNs to BT's NGSs. CPs NGN networks need to be configured for STP signalling for TDM voice routes. Based upon existing STP service. SIA Annex A section 5.2.13 and Appendix E to be updated. CPs can request service via existing ACO process. Launch target date is 2nd October 2006.
