  3. 13 “When Jesus came into the coasts of CasesareaPhillipi, he asked his disciples saying, “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” 14 And they said, Some say that thou are John the Baptist: some, Elias, and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, “But whom say ye that I am?” 16 And Simon Peter answered and said unto him, Thou are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:13 – 18

  4. 17 “And Jesus answered and said unto him,” “Blessed are thou, Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” 18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:13 – 18 (Cont.)

  5. Now Christ says “my” church….not “a” church, ..not “some” church,… not “one of the” churches, but “my” church.

  6. “Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” John 14:6 I CORINTHIANS 10:4 “And did all drink the same spiritual drink for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

  7. “For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change of the law.” Hebrews 7:12 HEBREWS 7:24 “But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.”

  8. “In that he saith, A new covenant, he have made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish.” Hebrews 8:13

  9. 28 “After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, “I thirst”. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar; and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished”; and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” JOHN 19:28 - 30

The churches of Christ salute you.” ACTS 2:47 “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

  14. Once again, the Lord says “the” church….not “a” church, ..not “some” church,… not “one of the” churches, but “the” church.

  17. “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.” Ephesians 5:23

  18. 13 “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son; 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by him, and for him.” Colossians 1:13 - 20

  33. Baptizo– “to make whelmed or fully wet”. Precisely, a derivative of the word “Bapto” which is a primary verb meaning “to whelm, cover wholly with fluid”. STRONG’S HEBREW AND GREEK DICTIONARIES WEBSTER’S ENCYCLOPEDIC EDITION DICTIONARY Whelm – “to submerge”.

  36. 1 “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given the order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.” I corinthians 16:1-2

  37. 6 “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” 2 corinthians 9:6 - 8

  38. 1. When? Upon the first day of the week. 2. How much? “As God hath prospered him” & “According as he purposeth in this heart.” 3. How are we to give? “Not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.” These two scriptures tell us:

  40. “And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.” Matthew 26:30 EPHESIANS 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

  41. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” cOLossians 3:16 HEBREWS 2:12 “Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.”

  42. 3 “Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.5 Praise him upon loud cymbals; praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.” PSALMS 150:3 - 5

  43. “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” JOHN 21:25
