Unit Prevention Leader Registration Process

This document outlines the necessary steps for enrolling in the Unit Prevention Leader (UPL) certification and recertification process. Interested candidates must submit a required CID background check, which can be done by contacting POC at 253-967-3151. Once the background check results are received, the registration form should be forwarded to the Prevention Program at usarmy.jblm.imcom.list.drug-testing@mail.mil. Enrollment is contingent upon favorable background check results. Candidates will receive seat confirmations via email.

  1. Unit Prevention Leader Registration Process Steps for Enrollment: (Certification & Recertification) • Submit required CID background check. • POC 253-967-3151. • Forward registration form with completed CID background check results to Prevention Program @ usarmy.jblm.imcom.list.drug-testing@mail.mil • Prevention Program will initiate required ASAP background check. Enrollment is contingent upon favorable results IAW AR 600-85 Para 9-6 a (1-7). • Candidate enrollment with seat confirmation will be emailed to designated CDR, 1SG and appointee. • Candidates will submit appointment letters (effective date is final day of certification course) prior to/onthe first day of class.
