  2. The goal of DANDY LION MONTESSORI SCHOOL is to maintain the reputation of being the best preschool in the community with the best trained professional staff of any private school in the area, thereby we exist to cater to both the education of your child and the welfare of our staff.

  3. Here at DANDY LION MONTESSORI SCHOOL, we provide an authentic Montessori program for preschool and kindergarten aged children (21/2 to 6) in the Five Cities (Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Shell Beach, Oceano) and surrounding areas of San Luis Obispo (SLO) County, California.

  4. Our Mission is simply to serve the children of the exceptional parents in our community, who are truly concerned about the future of their children in these uncertain times...

  5. The DANDY LION PRESCHOOL was established in 1981 by the Veness family, and has earned an excellent reputation serving the community for many years in 1996. The Veness’ retired in November of 1996 when Ann Balasuriya and Dave Hunter purchased the school to provide a location for Ann’s Montessori Teacher-Training Institute on the Central Coast.

  6. In early 1998 the Sunshine Room too was converted to a lovely montessori classroom as the need arose. When the 98/99 academic year began, both classrooms were fully functioning Montessori classes. With little advertising, the stellar word-of-mouth reputation of Dandy Lion kept our program functioning at capacity up until today.
