  4. The intention is to provide early career scientists with accommodation scholarships. Local groups may also provide travel support. Other career professionals are expected to cover their own costs

  5. Australian immigration provides an assistance package for workshop/conference visa processing. Critical that we have confirmed list by the end of August of students attending form third world countries. Therefore 31st July will be the deadline for registrations

  7. Estimates have proved more or less accurate and budget unchanged

  8. Funding Funding commitments excluding Bureau/CSIRO Bureau funding proposal submitted with executive CSIRO funding proposal pending Proposal is for Bureau/CSIRO/IOC/UWA to cover local costs, excluding self funded students Some additional funding sources are being pursued

  9. Critical activities Finalise funding for lecturers Broadcast call for student registrations Coordinate student evaluation Confirm education credit with UWA Finalise student decisions by end-August for visas and airfare bookings
