  5. Dell Axim x50v Features – Parts of a handheld package cradle with USB connection x50v charging adaptor power supply Note: The cradle connects to your computer by the USB connector. Connect the power supply to the cradle and the wall outlet. The charging adaptor is for charging the handheld without the cradle.

Syncing The cradle should already be attached to your designated computer (via USB) Connect your power supply to the back of the cradle and plug to the wall outlet Turn on and connect the x50v (connects to the cradle on an angle) Once connected Active Sync should begin automatically cradle © 2005 Seaford School District www.seaford.k12.de.us/hh

  39. Syncing Active Sync will synchronize the following types of information: CalendarContactsTasksFavoritesPocket AccessInbox (e-mail)NotesFiles (Word, Excel, photos, music, ETC) © 2005 Seaford School District www.seaford.k12.de.us/hh

Syncing A folder will be created for you on your “Desktop” when you installed the Active Sync Software Any files created on your handheld are placed in this folder every time you sync If you want to put files on you handheld (from your computer), copy them to this folder The Word File we created called “Your Name” will be in the folder when you sync © 2005 Seaford School District www.seaford.k12.de.us/hh

Syncing - Directions • Turn on and log on to your computer • Add the power cord to the cradle and plug in • Turn on your handheld • Place it in the cradle (on a slight backward angle) • Active Sync should start automatically (if not go to Start/Programs/Active Sync or remove the handheld from the cradle and reattach….make sure the handheld is turned on) • The Active Sync screen should appear • After Active Sync finishes, double-click your Handheld Folder on your desktop • See if you can locate your Handheld Training Folder and your documents © 2005 Seaford School District www.seaford.k12.de.us/hh
