This project outlines the development of a user interface for the Dell Axim X50 PDA that facilitates the reading and logging of data from external sensors. The application, developed using LabVIEW software, will enable real-time data display on the PDA screen and store the data in a file. Additionally, leveraging the PDA's WiFi capabilities, the project seeks to enable remote access to the device and data upload functionality to a web server. Progress includes ongoing work on the LabVIEW application and subsequent exploration of internet connectivity solutions.

Definition of the Problem • P1: Develop a user interface for the PDA that will read data from some sort of sensor, then save the data to a file and display the data to the PDA Screen. • P2: Sense the PDA has WIFI capabilities, try to access the PDA from the internet, or upload the data to a website from the PDA.
Prospective Solution • Use the LabVIEW software to develop the application that will read the data from the sensor and display it to the PDA screen. • Figure out how to make the PDA transmit the data to my home computer via the internet. Or upload it to a website.
Conclusion • Currently working on the LabView Application for the PDA. Following this will be working on the connectivity of the PDA.
