Washington State Board of Education CULMINATING PROJECT A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENT The Requirements • The State Board of Education adopted revised state minimum high school graduation requirements October 2000. • The total number of state minimum high school credits for graduation remains at 19. • The new requirements will be implemented starting with the freshman class of 2004 • The Culminating Project is a non-credit requirement.
Washington State Board of Education CULMINATING PROJECT A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENT • Culminating Project • Each student shall complete a culminating project for graduation. • The Project consists of students demonstrating both their learning competencies and preparations related to learning goals three and four. • Districts shall define the process to implement this graduation requirement.
