For the most part, there is an inverse relationship between interaction and distance, EXCEPT large cities will have high interaction even if the distance between them is far FORMULA: POPULATION OF CITY 1 + POPULATION OF CITY 2 AND DIVIDE BY THE DISTANCE SQUARED
