  2. Electroporation Method Perforates cell membrane temporarily through high voltage current. Allows passage of plasma based DNA vaccine into cell. Plasma DNA incorporated into host DNA and transcribed like regular DNA. Cell produces antigenic proteins, leading to T-cell and antigen production. These then target diseased or invading cells. • This is a highly useful and innovative method as it allows for the easy introduction of foreign DNA into the cell without doing irreparable damage to the membrane. • This method of using DNA vaccines also leads to a strong immune response which targets unwanted cells specifically.
