  6. 1.)What roles or role does local politics play in the footwear case? • Prime minister has said that it is an unforgivable crime. 2.) who are the principal actors in this real life business drama • Muslim vs Jews, Salman Rushdie and Mr. Carlson – (the director of the company)

  7. 3.) What are the positions taken by the principal local political group? • Students are hostile • The local media, known as “Meillat”, has published the article against Footwear.

What issues are of great concern to Footwear ? • the event of Palestinians gunned down by Jews • the contribution of the company toward the independency of Bangladeshi • Footwear being under the ownership of the Jews Their great concern is the well beings of the company if it is going to survive The conflict

  10. Action plan • Separated in three stages as we are not sure about the future outcome. • 1) Emphasize more on internal investigation. • The stylish who creates the problem • Other workers

  11. Action plan (con’t) • 2) Come out and talk to the society through medias • Press conference to expose what we collected from the 1st stage • Demonstrate how we interpret the symbol • Be very sincere • Begin investigation on external environment.

  13. Action plan (con’t) • If the result is not the way we want? • The most extreme case • Suggest a close down. • Either way, some religious groups will close us themselves. • Dealing with 85% target market is very hard as this is religious case.
