Marine Park and marine Reserve • Yan Chau Tong Marine Park(印 洲 塘 海 岸 公 園) (680 hectares) • Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park (海 下 灣 海 岸 公 園) (260 hectares) • Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Chau Marine Park(沙 洲 及 龍 鼓 洲 海 岸 公 園 (1200 hectares) • Tung Ping Chau Marine Park(東 平 洲 海 岸 公 園 ) (270 hectares) • Cape D' Aguilar Marine Reserve(鶴 咀 海 岸 保 護 區) (20 hectares)

  9. Artificial Reef • provide complex, hard surface habitat in areas • for planktonic fouling organisms to settle and develop • create new and complex food webs

The following activities are prohibited within marine parks and marine reserves • Unauthorized fishing, hunting, collecting or possessing any wild animals or plants, or their parts • Distributing the eggs, juvenile or the nesting sites of any protected marine species • Conduct any mariculture operation • Possession of trawl net, spear gun, explosives, chemicals or devices using electric charge which may be used for fishing • Water skiing, jet skiing or water scootering • Operating vessels exceeding the speed of 10 knots Contravention may lead to a fine of $ 25 000 and one year imprisonment.

  11. Country Parks Country Parks Ordinance was enacted in 1976 to provide a legal framework for • Designation • Development • Management Purposes • Nature conservation • Countryside recreation • Outdoor education. A total of 23 Country Parks and 15 Special Areas (41,582 公 頃)
