  1. Alexa App for PC | Alexa setup | Download Alexa App Amazon Echo is not just a smart home device that is dependent on a mobile device to operate. After setting up, the Echo is completely voice – activated, and its perfect at it. And because there is a web app, you can easily handle it from the Alexa app for PC. Getting the right device Amazon now includes a wide range of Echo devices to pick from: Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Plus and comes in the 3 sizes. The only difference between the three is the cost. Each vary slightly and it also includes a display with video and also with audio – based features. Setting up Alexa app for PC Setting up the device will be the same, but this guide is made using 3rd gen Amazon Echodot. There are couple of warnings; the first is that you need to have set it up through Alexa app for PC. You will mostly be supported if the browser is not if using a small browser like Opera, Edge might not work and that might go for the new Edge too. Customizing the Alexa App You can easily customize the settings in the app. Click > Hands – free if you did not enable it in the setup process •Now say > Alexa to active the VA and you can ask the question or request •With hands – free turned on, minimize the app and now talk to Alexa •Also, shut down the app, if you don’t use Alexa and don’t want the app to consume the battery charge. •Now click > Settings > turn the Hands – free mode ON and OFF.
