This project focuses on creating a lightweight, cost-effective, and portable electromechanical feeding device for individuals suffering from paralysis. Current feeding devices are often bulky and expensive, leading to a significant need for a simpler solution. The design process utilizes an iterative approach, applying engineering principles to develop a user-friendly and maintenance-efficient system powered by its own energy source. Our goal is to enhance quality of life for patients through improved accessibility and functionality in feeding devices.

Engineering Design Defined Design - the plan and arrangement of the form and structure of natural and man-made material to achieve a desired function. Engineering - the application of sciences to the construction of hardware or/and software. Engineering design - an iterative decision making process in which sciences are applied to devise a system to meet the needs of the client.
Engineering Design Process Problem Statement Although feeding device are available for people suffering from paralysis, they are often bulky, expensive, and not portable. A need exists for a simple feeding device. It should be electromechanical and operate from its own power source. The design should be economical, have a light weight, and be simple to use and maintain.
