By helping your child with reading comprehension, you improve their reading and comprehension skills. This can be done at your home by yourself or if you are a working parent, you can hire tutors that can help your child in improving their reading skills

Tips to Improve your Child’s Reading Skills • Read it Aloud to Decode Words Decoding of words is the awareness of the letters and the sounds, that words make, along with the understanding of they mingle to form a sentence. Read the words and sentences aloud and slowly to make your child understand this procedure. Then, to check whether your child understood this, ask them to read the same sentence aloud. When they read slowly, it gives them more time to process.

  4. Get the Right Books The most important thing to remember is never to set the bar too high for your child. It is said that your child must recognize 90% of the words they read or see in the books. Hence, find the books according to their age and understanding to make them comfortable with books and learn better. Moreover, pick stories that are interesting for them and that could be anything like, fairies, cars, adventures, etc. Everyone likes to read about topics they are interested in.
