  12. A Key Problem of Regeneration by Soaking Method • Wastewater of regenerant is held at the lower part of resin layer. • Moreover, solution of NaCl is diluted by released water from resin at the first stage of feeding

  13. A Key Problem of Regeneration by Soaking Method • So, the resin in the lower part of tank is not regenerated enough • At the last stage, if they drain out regenerant too rapidly, they cannot keep enough time to regenerate resin in the lower part

  14. Improvement Idea • They should feed and drain out regenerant more slowly • If they can expect for uniform current with regenerant distributor, water should be drained out to the bottom of tank before feeding regenerant
