  1. BY: Suzanne Collins Genre: Fiction Catching fire

  2. Katniss Everdeen was still recovering from her time in the hunger games when president snow forced her and Peeta into the victory tour. As a result of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the hunger games she is yet again going to the hunger games. As Katniss and Peeta’s star crossed lovers role plays out into dangerously serious waters, Katniss must keep Peeta alive while trying to stay alive as long as possible herself. Katniss just has to watch her every move while in the games so she doesn’t start a full on rebellion against the capitol. She just hopes it works. Plot

  3. Katniss Everdeen President Snow Peeta Mellark Beetee Haymitch Johanna Finnick Characters

  4. Most of the main characters in this story are dynamic. Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch, Finnick, and Beetee are all examples of the dynamic characters in this story. This story also has it’s static characters and a few of those characters are President Snow, and Johanna. Characters continued

  5. Katniss and President Snow’s conflict. Katniss and Peeta’s star crossed lovers conflict. The conflict between Haymitch, Peeta, and Katniss. The conflict between the competitors in the hunger games. The conflict between the districts and the capitol. Conflict

  6. I loved how Katniss struggled over loving Peeta because she knew she would probably die in the hunger games. I liked how the book was filled with action but also filled with complex conflicts and storyline. The only thing I don’t like about this book is that it had to end. My likes and dislikes

  7. The story is written from a first person point of view. Katniss is the omnipotent narrator in this story. In this story we know all about Katniss’ thoughts and why she is thinking them. Though the story is limited somewhat because we do not know how the other characters feel or think. Point of View

  8. The author of uses foreshadowing in several cases, but all the cases are too important to the end to reveal. She also uses a few bits of irony throughout the story as well. Literary devices

  9. I recommend this book to anyone who has read Hunger Games and wants to read on in this series of love, action, deceit, and rebellion. Recommendation
