  2. Transformation of Employment Ontario will involve important changes affecting EO stakeholders and service providers. Service provider operations may be significantly impacted by changes to programs, service and service delivery standards. Service providers and stakeholders have received information through their formal and informal networks and umbrella organizations, intermittent sessions with Regional Office managers and staff, and communiqués. There is a need for consistent corporate messaging and timely information about the changes being contemplated and those that are approved. 1

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Strategy • Support the transformation of Employment Ontario through the coordination of ETD stakeholder activities, and strategic, proactive, consistent and accessible communications. • improve information flow to ETD stakeholders through strategic, proactive, consistent communications • strengthen stakeholder relations through a coordinated and consistent approach to providing information as well as gathering feedback and input • establish ETD managers and staff as core spokespersons with stakeholders • coordinate stakeholder consultation activities • maximize stakeholder use of EOPG 2

Regional Directors Speaking Tour • Regional Directors held information meetings with stakeholders and service providers during March to bring them up-to-date on EO transformation. • Regional Directors provided updates on: the development of an Integrated Service Delivery Framework, Employment Services Program Design, Accountability Framework, Employment Ontario Information System (EOIS), and Integrated Local Labour Market Planning System. • Emphasis was on the initiatives from these five projects leading to October 2008 3

Next Steps • Overall Employment Ontario communications package on Employment Services Design, Integrated Service Delivery Framework, Accountability Framework and processes to bring us to October 2008. • Support to local managers and staff in delivering strategic communications on EO transformation and engaging local stakeholders. • Alignment of strategic communications and stakeholder engagement at all levels from SDAG to local offices and through EOPG. 4
