  2. Note-Taking Skills • Write only on one side of the paper. • Use a 3-ring binder so that you can keep your notes organized. • Create a lost signal to use whenever you get lost taking notes.

  3. Note-Taking Skills • Make sure your notes are labeled and your pages are numbered. • Put your name on each page. • Use standard abbreviations. • listen for introductory, concluding, and transitionalwords and phrases.

  4. Note-Taking Skills • Leave space between your notes. • Use words and phrases, instead of complete sentences, if possible. • Copy diagrams, equations, dates, definitions, and illustrations word-for-word.
