What is the GTBS? • Sustainable Tourism grading programme running since 1997 • Open to all types of tourism business in the UK and Ireland (2,400+ businesses) • Programme to help businesses be more efficient, save money, improve customer service, provide marketing advantage, inspire staff &engage with local community • Operated by private, not-for-profit company – Green Business UK Ltd based in Perth, Scotland - not funded by Government / agencies • 6000+ grading visits & criteria is now in its 4th edition – 7 full-time assessors • Only National Green Tourism programme endorsed by VisitScotland, VisitEngland and VisitWales

Membership Process • Contact GTBS for membership pack (no obligation or cost) • gtbs@green-business.co.uk • Complete and return application form • Membership fee (£100-£600/annum) • Receive awaiting grading logo, members area & newsletters • Appointments for grading visit offered 6-7 wks notice • Grading visit ~ Report within 4-8 weeks/ GOLD committee • Revisit once every 2 yrs - Update Standard every 4 years
