  1. Who are the People Behind the Scenes atVirginia Head Start Association

  2. Maxine’s office As you can see, this is where the Executive Director does all of the important day to day business. Notice the fancy outfit. Hopefully no one comes to the “office” today.
  3. The Senior Volunteer As you know, Virginia Head Start will rope in whomever we can. Here is David Rash aka Senior Volunteer doing the daily “filing”.
  4. Official Bag Stuffer Some of you might now know, but Maxine had help before Julia came on the scene. Yup, she had her granddaughter Madi helping.
  5. Storage at Maxine’s As you can see, we are committed to saving money. Here is a picture of a section of Maxine’s basement dedicated to VAHSA materials.
  6. Woodstock Café This is the un-official conference room for Virginia Head Start Association
  7. Julia’s Office This would be the spot. Not fancy, but notice the printer in the back and the coffee cup. Yup, this is where the work get’s done. I did clean it up for this picture. Usually there are papers EVERYWHERE.
  8. Staging Area This is the spare bedroom at Julia’s. This is where the items get put together for upcoming conferences or events. Hope Grandma can squeeze in at Christmas.
  9. The “Warehouse” Men These 2 handsome men are Julia’s husband Jack and son Jackie. They are the “Muscle” when it comes time for packing up for a conference, retreat or just when Julia gets an idea to “reorganize” the supplies.
  10. Storage Part 2 This is a part of Julia’s garage taken up with more supplies. Paper anyone?
  11. Commercial Press Staff The wonderful staff at Commercial Press have done everything from Annual reports, Conference Programs, note cards, thank you notes to banners.
  12. Jesse Mueller – Blue Screen Computers Jesse is our computer GURU! He is such a sweetheart when it comes to taking the time to explain (as fast as he can) everything that’s going on.
  13. Webbones – Susan and Stephanie These are the ladies of Webbones our website fairies. They can “sprinkle” fairy dust on just about anything. They keep the website going and are amazing ladies.
  14. 3Cats Promo This would be Ron from 3Cats promo. We have ordered bags, pens and most of our giveaways. I think this picture was before I sent him my latest order.
  15. Diane Hanson Diane is who we call on when it’s time for the conference program. She designs and does the layout for the wonderful program we have each year.
  16. Wilkes Accounting This would be one of Julia’s favorite’s. They are the ones keep us on track accounting wise as well as send paychecks. In this picture, you can tell that they are the best dressed of all of us.
  17. Unavailable for Pictures Dr. Peggy Harrelson: Peggy has been our “go-to” person for the annual report. She collects the data from the agency’s PALS screenings and then decipher what they all mean. Campbell Insurance: They keep us on track with insurance needs.
