Daria Karimian graduated with a B.S. degree, with Honors, in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, PA in 1981. Attended University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland for one semester, before attending University of Notre Dame, in South Bend Indiana to earn an M.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1984.

  2. In 1991, DariaKarimian joined the family automotive business, which included Taxi Companies (Silver Taxi Cab of Washington D.C., V.I.P. Taxi Cab of Washington, D.C., Constitutional Taxi Cab of Washington D.C., V.I.P. Taxi Cab of Alexandria, Virginia, as well as Taxi Rental in all 4 Taxi businesses. The businesses also included Bijan's Car City Inc., which was comprised of Automotive Transmission Rebuilding Shop, Auto Repair Shop, Auto Body Shop,Alexandria Imports, Inc. (Auto Sales) and Auto Salvage Repair and sales of used auto parts.In 1987, DariaKarimian attended Villanova University, in Villanova, ennsylvania in their MBA program, with emphasis in Marketing. However, due to the move back to the Washington D.C. area to work at Dynamac Corp., Daria did not complete the MBA program.

  3. Bijan's Car City Inc., was located at 3700 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Alexandria, VA 22305 and Alexandria Imports was located at 3600 Jefferson Davis Hwy. At the time of joining the family business, the company had only3-5 hired employees, occupying about 700 Square foot of building on an 8,000 square foot lot owned by the City of Alexandria. Upon joining the family business, Daria helped to lease the adjoining property, owned by Nick Carosi of Arban & Carosi, containing about 27,000 square feet of building, on about two acres of land. This growth and expansion in the business used up over $100,000 of DariaKarimian's personal funds as well as over $1,000,000 borrowed from family members.The business did not succeed, or able to pay back its borrowers.
