  2. We can read about Jesus’ life and teachings in the Old New Testament. We call the Bible Sacred Scripture. When we read the Bible, we learn what God has told us about himself and his love . The Bible only has one part. The Old Testament teaches us about God’s people who lived before Jesus’ time on earth. We learn about David, the young shepherd who took care of sheep near the town of Bethlehem, in the New Testament. David made God very angry with his words and actions. The Old New Testament is about Jesus Christ and his disciples. It is also about the beginnings of the church. The Gospels are about Jesus’ teachings and his life on earth. Are the four Gospels about God’s people before Jesus’ time on earth? More copies of the Bible have been sold than any other book ever written. Jesus wants us to listen to his teachings.
