Report on Proposals and Policies (RPP) • Climate Change Act – legal commitment to 42% and 80% emission reduction across economy • RPP : broad framework for delivery across all sectors • Now need Retrofit Delivery Strategy for housing • RPP commits to 36% housing emission reduction by 2020 This means : • All homes that can take it have loft and cavity wall insulation • All homes with gas to have energy efficient boilers • 100,000 homes have renewable heat technology • 50% of solid walls insulated (internal/external) • 100,000 homes have floor insulation Plus smart meters and building standards
