    45. Matrix and Mixer Modes

    46. Operation Modes Matrix Mode 1 input to up to 8 outputs Paging matrix applications Simultaneous Event (memory) activation Mixer Mode Up to eight inputs to up to eight outputs Mixing applications Single Scene (memory) activation

    47. Operation Mode Switch

    48. Changing Modes Power cable must be removed before changing operation modes When power is reapplied, all previously stored settings are lost Save settings before changing modes

    49. Matrix Mode Zone Paging Matrix Allows multiple simultaneous Event activation for paging and BGM distribution Eight Level Ducker Assignable priority levels and mute depth attenuates all other lower priority input signals Voice Operated (VOX) Event Activation 32 Programmable Events Activate via front panel, control input, or RS-232 Multiple Events can be active simultaneously

    50. Mixer Mode Auto-mixing Automatically adjusts the open microphone's output channel gain depending on the number of open microphones (NOM) Two Level Ducker Assignable priority levels and mute depth attenuates all other lower priority input signals Voice Operated (VOX) Paging 32 Programmable Scenes Activate via front panel, control input, or RS-232 Only one Scene can be active at a time

    51. Mode Comparison

    52. VOX Function The VOX function activates the set Event (Matrix mode) or Page (Mixer mode) when an audio signal at the assigned input If the audio signal drops below a preset level after the VOX function begins operation, the set Event or Page is terminated after approximately 5 seconds

    53. Ducker Function The Ducker function automatically attenuates input signals with lower priority when two or more audio signals are simultaneously received Matrix mode: 8-Level Ducker Mixer mode: 2-Level

    58. Matrix Mode EVENT Menu Route Input Outputs Trigger (Control-In, VOX, None) Synch Interlock Base Route Event (4) Trigger (Control-In, None) BGM End Trigger (Control-In) None

    59. Route Event Sets the routing path one input to one or more outputs Activated by Trigger "None" (BGM) "VOX" (D-001T only) "Control Input" (1 12) Priority level 8 is considered to be Background Music

    60. BGM End Event Defines the method of stopping BGM broadcasts Only "Control Input" (1 12) can be selected for Trigger All current BGM broadcasts are stopped

    61. Base Event Combination of up to four Route type events, each routing an input set to priority level #8 Allows multiple BGM (Route) Events to be simultaneously activated with a single activation signal For Trigger, select "None" or "Control Input" (1 - 12)

    62. Event Example The following example includes two BGM sources, each routed to a separate amplifier zone and a Paging source routed to both amplifier zones When the Page occurs, both BGM sources will mute

    63. Event Example Event 1: Type: ROUTE Input 1 (BGM #1) set to Priority #8 Input 1 routed to Output 1 Trigger set to NONE Event 2: Type: ROUTE Input 2 (BGM #2) set to Priority #8 Input 2 routed to Output 2 Trigger set to NONE

    64. Event Example Event 3: Type: ROUTE Input 3 (Page) set to Priority #1 Input 3 routed to Outputs 1 and 2 Trigger set to VOX Event 4: Type: BASE Events 1 and 2: ON Trigger set to NONE
