  3. Must Not Have God as Enemy • Job 19:6-14 - Job thought God was his enemy • James 4:4 “friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” • Become God’s Enemies when Love the World!

  4. Enemies- • Things to learn: • Psalm 56:9 - God can save us from our Enemies • Psalm 138:7 – He can see us through trouble! • Only when we abide in His Teachings- Psalm 119:98,157 • We have help IF we do not Depart From God’s Word

  5. Enemies- • We can have Spiritual Enemies- • 1 Peter 5:8 – Devil our Adversary • Revelation 12:10 – He is the “accuser” of our brethren • Philippians 3:18 – False Teachers • Romans 8:6,7 - Carnal-minded are enemies of God • Galatians 2:3-5 - No comfort or support for them

  6. Enemies- • Ephesians 5:11 – “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” • 2 John 9-11 – “Whoever trans-gresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God… 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.”

  7. Enemies- • Enemies in This World- • Psalm 69:4 – Hate us without cause • John 15:17-19 – World hated Jesus, hates those who follow Him also • Matthew 5:44 – Love Enemies • Romans 12:20 – Do Good for Them

  8. Enemies- • 2 Thessalonians 3:15 – no enmity against one withdrawn from for Sin • Proverbs 24:17-20 - Don’t rejoice at downfall of the wicked, or be envious of their advances

  9. We have been Enemies of God • And Will Continue to be unless we are In Christ • Romans 8:6,7 – been carnally minded • Romans 5:10 – enemies reconciled in Christ • Colossians 1:21 – Evil thoughts & deeds alienates us • Ephesians 2:15,16 – through Him!

  10. Are YOU In Christ? • Galatians 3:26,27 – baptized into Christ, preceded by Faith, Repentance and Confession • John 14:15 - Christ says Disobedience do not love Him! • Luke 6:46 – have no right to call Him “Lord” • Hebrews 5:8,9 – no salvation without obedience

  11. IF YOU are NOT IN CHRIST- • Things done in religion will not save you – you are still LOST! • Matthew 15:9-14 – blind leading the blind, plant uprooted, vain worshiper • Does this make me your enemy? Galatians 4:16 • NO!

  12. Won’t YOU be made Friends again with God Today? • Have your sins washed away? • Why Not NOW? • Acts 22:16 “'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.‘”

  13. Are YOU an ENEMY OF GOD? Won’t YOU be reconciled to God? Why Not NOW?
