  3. Contrary to Pinel: Spinal injury reduces the experience of emotion. The extent of emotional loss is greatest when the lesion is high on the spine.

  4. Sham rage - overly severe, and not well directed

  5. In this funnel model of control of motivated behaviors, inputs from the frontal lobes and limbic system are funneled through the hypothalamus, which controls the brainstem circuits to produce the behavioral patterns.

  7. Duchenne Smile - real smile - orbicularis oculi - involuntary - pulls stuff towards eye - zygomaticus major - voluntary - pulls lip corners up - look at the eyes!! - or be genuine (e.g, method acting)
