  3. Who we are • The Mama Earth Foundation, Inc. • Autonomous, non-political, non-profit organization established in 2003 • Funded by voluntary contributions by a host of bilateral, multilateral and individual private donors

Who are the beneficiary • The individual mangrove grower • The marginal income fisher folks • The coastal dwellers • Both Local Government Unit (LGU) and National Government • The academe, scientist and researchers Meeting between the Mama Earth foundation, Inc., Barangay Officials and coastal residents

Vision: A rural transformation in the developing world as small stakeholder households in coastal strategically increase their use of Mangrove trees landscape and seascapes to improve their food nutrition, income, education, health, shelter and environmental sustainability. Mission: To generate science-based knowledge about the diverse roles that mangrove trees play in landscape and seascapes, and use its research to advance policies and practices that benefit the marginal income and the environment.
