  2. Clouds • At one point in life we have looked up to see clouds in the sky and have probably thought wow that cloud looks like something such as a rabbit but there is more to clouds then just the shape they resemble. • There are many different types of clouds and weather can even be predicted by looking at them. NEXT Page

  3. Cirrus Clouds • Thin and wispy • Cirrus clouds are made entirely of ice crystals • They typically predict fair weather Next Page

  4. Cumulus Clouds • Poufy white or slightly grey clouds • Often described as looking like floating cotton • Can signal either good or bad weather Next Page

  5. Cumulonimbus Clouds • Like a cumulus cloud cumulonimbus tend to be very puffy clouds. • They are very tall clouds almost as if a tower and often have an anvil top. • Sign of heavy precipitation and possible thunderstorms. Next Page

  6. Stratus Clouds • Stratus Clouds are low in the sky. • They tend to look like one large cloud that covers the majority of the sky. • Light precipitation can be expected when stratus clouds are present. Next Page

  7. Nimbostratus Clouds • Like Stratus Clouds Nimbostratus are low in the sky • Nimbostratus clouds are grey and thick enough to keep the sun from shinning through. • Almost always a sign of precipitation. Next Page
