  3. A cloud is a large collection of very tiny droplets of water or ice crystals. • The droplets are so small and light that they can float in the air. Clouds

  5. Clouds • Three general types of clouds Stratus clouds • Cumulus clouds • Cirrus clouds

  6. Cumulus Clouds • White, fluffy clouds that look like cotton balls that usually mean fair weather. • Tornadoes and thunder

  7. Formation of Cumulus Clouds Cumulus clouds form thunderstorms or tornadoes when unstable air rises Thunder and Lightning Tornadoes The clouds grow into bigger, thicker clouds known as cumulonimbus clouds

  8. Cirrus Clouds • The highest clouds, white and feathery, made of ice!

  9. Stratus Clouds • Low gray blanket that bring rain or snow. • Stratus also means layers. Rain
