Ice Storm Forecast: Hazardous Travel and Potential Power Outages Ahead

The National Weather Service Memphis has issued a warning for significant ice accumulation over the next few days. Forecasts indicate a greater than 1/4 inch of ice, leading to hazardous travel conditions in the affected areas. The potential for downed tree branches and power lines exists, especially with ice accumulation exceeding 1/2 inch. Residents, especially north of I-40, should prepare for possible major and prolonged power outages. Stay safe and monitor updates for the latest conditions and impacts.
