This document explores the reproductive methods, embryonic development, and caregiving behaviors of zebras, lions, and eagles. Zebras reproduce sexually and require females aged 2-4 years to give birth, while lions follow the same pattern. Eagles reproduce by laying eggs, needing 3 to 4 days for embryo development. Young zebras reach adulthood in 3-6 months, lions in 2-3 years, and eagles in 3-5 years. These species show similarities in caring for their young, as they all provide protection and food until the offspring are mature enough to fend for themselves.

Zebra Compared to a Lion Compared to an Eagle By: Zurabi Kirvalidze
Reproduction • Zebras reproduce sexually and the female must be 2-4 years of age or older to give birth • Lion Reproduces the same way • Eagles reproduce the same way but they lay eggs instead of giving live birth
Development of the Embryo • An Eagles embryo needs 3 to 4 days to develop into fetus • A lion needs 7 to 8 days • And the eagles need about 35 days to develop into a fetus
Development of the Young • A Zebra needs 3-6 months to become an adult • A lion becomes an adult between 2 and 3 years in his life. When he does he lives his group • Eagles though 3 to 5 years to become an adult
Taking Care of the Young • Zebras take care of their young by feeding them and protecting them while they are young • Lions are alike to the zebras in this matter. The Female lion wont even show her cubs to her male counter part until the cubs are old enough • Eagles also take care of their young. They gather food for them and protect them
