About CISI • UK based the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) • One of the largest professional bodies and the professional body of choice for professionals in the securities and investment industry in the UK and in a growing number of major financial centresglobally • Formed in 1992 by London Stock Exchange practitioners • Has a global community of members in 121 countries • Last year more than 41,000 CISI exams were sat in 73 countries

CISI in UAE • The two primary regulators in UAE (ESCA and UAE Central Bank) strongly promote CISI qualifications in UAE • Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (ESCA) which is the regulator for financial markets requires: • All brokers working in a brokerage firm to have cleared: • UAE Financial Rules and Regulations • International Certificate in Securities and Investments (IISI) • Global Securities • All Internal Controllers / Trading Managers working in a brokerage firm need to have cleared: • All of the above 3 and • Operational Risk

CISI in UAE (cont) • All Financial Analysts / Financial Advisors working for any financial services firm regulated by ESCA need to have cleared: • UAE Financial Rules and Regulations • Global Securities • Risk in Financial Services • International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management (ICWIM)

CISI in UAE (cont) • It is also expected that soon UAE Central Bank will require all Wealth Managers / Private Bankers working for any bank in UAE to have cleared either or both of: • International Certificate in Securities and Investments (IISI) • International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management (ICWIM) • Keeping this in mind, almost all banks in UAE have taken the initiative and now require all of their Private Bankers / Wealth Managers / Senior Relationship Managers / Branch Managers to have cleared either IISI or ICWIM

About ICWIM • The International Certificate in Wealth & Investment Management (ICWIM) qualification is designed for wealth managers and financial advisors in order to help them understand the range of assets and investment products that are available in the market. • It will equip you with the best practices to provide financial advice and appropriate solutions for client’s investments, retirement and protection planning. • It is a globally recognized qualification and is considered as a Level 3 program under CISI
