  3. As you come back… • Take a napkin… • 3-4 goldfish • 1-2 marshmallows • 1 candy corn • Dollop of chocolate/hazelnut butter • DO NOT EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take out a sheet of paper….

  4. Food and Psychology • Marks a wide-range of psychological investments and symbolic significations • Food= memory • Close your eyes….let each other have their experience….Try each food one at a time • Be aware of any associations, memories, or emotions that come up.

  5. What did you experience? • This novel will explore sensory experiences of food and eating- often taking characters in the novel to other worlds of experience and emotion that they could not have been transported to without the aid of the food. • Enjoy!

  6. On scrap paper… • Write down a specific food memory that you have…think of the food and in a few sentences describe what memories it evokes…. • See if you can write as if telling a recipe complete with memory/emotion…
