  2. Hardware Needs • Headset and microphone • Computer (No duh!)

  3. Software needs • Audio editing software • Audacity or Garageband • Royalty Free music and/or sound effects • www.podsafeaudio.com

  4. Web needs • Web hosting site (And your web site) • Podbean • Gcast

  5. Getting started • Know what you want to say and how you want to say it. • Select any sound effects and music you want to use and place them in the same folder. • Record about :30 seconds of your podcast. Check audio levels. • Once audio levels are set, record your podcast. • Add music and/or sound effects. • Convert your file into an MP3 • Upload your file to your hosting site or to your web page.

  8. Things to keep in mind • What do you want them to learn? • Budget more time • Demand quality • Give them the rubric right up front
