NTHCPA Mission & Vision • NTHCPA exists to champion ethical practice and compliance standards and to provide the necessary resources for ethics and compliance Professionals and others in North Texas who share these principles. • The vision of NTHCPA is to be a pre-eminent compliance and ethics group promoting lasting success and integrity of organizations within North Texas. 

  3. NTHCPA KEY INITIATIVES • Conduct NTHCPA Membership Survey • Form 501 (c)(6) • HCCA Accreditation of NTHCPA Education Course • Develop Mentorship Program • Community Humanitarian Projects

  4. Survey Results – Question # 1 • 1. Would you like to see NTHCPA move forward toward a formal structure with guidelines governing our operations, its leadership, and membership? • Yes: 68% • No: 28%

Survey Results – Question #2 • 2. To date, we have been able to avoid charging members and other participants to attend the meetings or other fees to cover our operating expenses because these costs have been paid by the organization hosting the meeting and commercial sponsors. Are you comfortable with NTHCPA seeking commercial sponsors to fund specific projects and activities? • Yes: 81% • No: 14%

  10. NTHCPA Education Courses • Develop free compliance and ethics education courses accredited by the HCCA for NTHCPA members • Courses will be available online via the NTHCPA website • Method • Paper based • Web-based • Members would receive CEU credit

NTHCPA Mentorship Program • Establish a mentorship program for the non-complianceprofessionals • Establish NTHCPA mentorship committee • Mentee Program Requirements • One Year Commitment • Attend all NTHCPA meetings • Attend HCCA Conference • Take CHC exam • NTHCPA Mentoring Commitment • Sponsor Mentee’s • HCCA and NTHCPA membership • HCCA Conference • Tutoring to prepare for CHC exam • CHC exam fees

Community Humanitarian Projects • Tarrant County Hospital District – JPS • SHOWER OF LOVE • The Shower of Love is a community-wide baby shower collecting new and gently used clothing and necessities for the tiniest patients. Items are donated to Partners Together For Health, the foundation for JPS Health Network, and then distributed to the patients and families who need them most. • Dallas County Hospital District – Parkland • COLOR ME PINK • What can fingernail polish, body lotion and a pedicure set do to help a cancer patient? Well, it's certainly not conventional medicine. But, Judi Schlundt, American Cancer Society resource center coordinator at Parkland Health & Hospital System, hopes bags of donated beauty supplies may be just what the doctor ordered.
