Outcomes • Collaborate with English Learner (EL) experts throughout Orange County to explore the new English Language Development (ELD) standards and their pedagogical implications • Explain the what, how, and why of the new ELD standards (and their relationship to the Common Core State Standards) to various stakeholders • Share expertise in order to increase English Learners’ language proficiency and access to rigorous academic content
