The Montessori Method: A Revolutionary Approach to Education

In 1906, Dr. Maria Montessori noticed the laughter of children in the San Lorenzo neighborhood of Rome and decided to create a school called Casa dei Bambini, meaning "Children's House." Focused on experiential learning, Dr. Montessori provided tools and materials for children to engage with actively, fostering skills like lacing, polishing, and building. Children chose their own work, developing independence and self-confidence through hands-on activities. Today, the Montessori method's principles continue to thrive in schools worldwide, promoting a joyful and effective learning environment.
