Three Keys to Success • Ask Questions • Take risks and think “outside the box” • Effort Culminating Project • Students will take home a portfolio of final products throughout the 10 wks/20wks/school year. • Studio In Art Kids will be “commissioned” by teachers/administrators to create a work of art especially for them…to gain a working understanding how some artists make a living.
Homework • Sometimes there is just not enough time… • lengthy projects, fire drills, shortened periods, Long winded questions…etc… • STUDENTS MAY BE • ASKED TO WORK ON • PROJECT COMPONENTS AT HOME. • + 7th grade students have a weekly sketchbook assignment! Students are EXPECTED to take initiative to write down their assignments on their own.
Studio In Art Grading Policy(refer to course syllabus on website) • Projects/Evaluations 80% • Evaluations can include relevant drawing/artistic exercises, quizzes, art history exploration activities • Sketchbook and Written Critiques 20% • Regents exam 20% overall grade (mp 4)
