What is HKN? • Electrical and Computer Engineering Honors Society • “In the United States, an honor society is an organization of rank, the induction into which recognizes excellence among one's peers” (Wikipedia) • An elite club of individuals (students) who have excelled in academic excellence, and display desired qualities of leadership.

More Information • Founded in 1904 at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign • The national Honor Society for ECE Professionals and Students • 200 student chapters, representing almost every top tier University in the USA, and about 250,000 members • Headquarters in Chicago, IL. • UML Epsilon Zeta Chapter active since mid-60s
