Troop 55 Scout Organization • Organized by Patrol (7-10 scouts each) • Patrols have wide mix of ages/ranks • Patrol Leader and Asst Patrol • Leader for each Patrol • SPL, ASPL and Patrol Leaders • form PLC - plan activities for the year Bears Patrol Eagles Patrol Scorpions Patrol Bucks Patrol Sharks Patrol Dragons Patrol Vikings Patrol
Adult Support of Troop 55 Working together, the Troop Committee and uniformed adult leadership help the scouts of Troop 55 plan and execute a fun and adventuresome program • Troop Committee • Support all aspects of Troop • operations other than going • on outings • Finance, Equipment, • Transportation, Fundraising • Uniformed Adult Leadership • Ensure Safety • Provide Guidance to SPL, • ASPL, and Patrol Leaders • Attend and support all • outings and scout meetings
Schedule for Spring/Summer 2005 • Troop 55 Scouts hold a meeting during the first 3 • Wednesdays of every month, (4th Wednesday reserved for PLC meeting) • Typically one overnight outing per month • Monthly Program Themes apply to outings and meetings • Jan - Snow Sports • Feb - Nautical Engineering • Mar - Biking • Apr - Athletics • May - First Aid • Jun - Aquatics • Jul - Summer Camp and High Adventure • Aug – High Adventure and National Jamboree
