Understanding Point of View and Tone in Storytelling

This piece explores the concepts of point of view and tone in storytelling. It distinguishes between the author, the one who writes the story, and the narrator, the voice that tells it. The narrator conveys the story from a specific perspective—either from within the narrative as a character or from outside it. Tone reflects the author's feelings towards the subject matter, revealing their attitude. By analyzing tone, readers can gain insight into the author's emotions and the intended impact of the narrative.
